| AVIivaPlus v1.00 | [2178KB] |
AVIivaPlus v1.00 is a video player and presentation program. It will play AVI, QuickTime, and MPEG video files. It has many features such as sequential playback of multiple video files, loop play, reverse play, sound on or off, volume control, windowed or full-screen display, user-defined step rate and frame rate (-80 to 80 FPS, including fractional rates down to 1/11 fps or 11 spf), user-defined start and end frames, size scaling, constant settings and/or display across videos, user modifiable settings for each individual video file, and save/load settings capability. The progress of the video can be viewed in frame units or time units.
AVIivaPlus has the ability to control playback options via the keyboard so it is not necessary to bring the control panel forward to make changes. Also, many settings are shown in panels on a status bar at the bottom of the video window. Settings can also be changed by clicking these panels. This zip file contains all the runtime files you will need, so there is no need to download another file. The program runs under Windows 95/98/Me/NT/2000/XP. The Windows standard setup is used for installation. There is a free evaluation period of 30 days. The shareware fee is $20 if you decide to continue using it.

| ASCIICode v1.00 | [1986KB] | I was inspired to write this program after reading Michael Drosnin's best-selling book "The Bible Code". In this book Mr. Drosnin claims that the Hebrew Bible contains hidden messages and warnings about the recent past, the present, and the future. These messages are hidden as Equidistant Letter Sequences (ELS). In other words, the hidden messages consist of Hebrew letters that appear a set number of letters apart in the text of the Bible.
ASCIICode finds ELSs in English character texts. An ASCII file can be loaded and user specified words searched for in the text. All occurrences are listed. The text can then be displayed in a grid based on the spacing of the characters in one instance of a found search word known as the keyword. The keyword is highlighted in the grid. The program's other features include multiple search words, text filtering, saving of filtered or gridded text, manual highlighting, and more.

| MakeBackup-v2.00.zip FreeWare |
[4 KB] | This Visual Basic Script program allows you to drag files to its icon to make rolling backups of files that you modify frequently. For example, if you have a file named filename.ext, the first time you execute MakeBackup.vbs on this file a backup file named filename-AA.ext will be created in the same folder. The next time, a file named filename-AB.ext will be created. This will continue until filename-ZZ.ext is created. Also, older backups are deleted automatically. The number of backups that are kept at any given time is set by a user-changeable variable in the script itself. Multiple files can be dragged at the same time.
You must be running Windows 98, Me, NT, 2000, or XP, and have Visual Basic Scripting installed. If you do not have VB Scripting, you can download it from Microsoft at http://msdn.microsoft.com/downloads/ . Click on Web Development and find Windows Script. Be sure to download the appropriate version for your operating system. XP has scripting built-in. Also, if you have installed a version of Internet Explorer that supports scripting, my script will most likely work.

| Files2-v1.2.zip (Files2Excel & Files2Text) FreeWare |
[6 KB] | NOTE: To run Files2Excel.vbs, you must have MS Excel installed on your computer.
When you drag a folder to the Files2Excel icon, the program will open Excel and then create a formatted list of all files in the selected folder as well as all files in all subfolders of the selected folder. This is a good way to document the contents of folders on hard drives, Zip disks, CDs, etc. The Excel workbook can then be saved. If you are comfortable making changes to the script, you can customize the output and format of the created Excel worksheet. The Files2Text.vbs program works in a similar way to Files2Excel. When a folder is dragged to the Files2Text icon, this program creates a text file named FolderAndFileList.txt, in the selected folder, containing a list of all files in the selected folder as well as all files in all subfolders of the selected folder. If the selected folder is on read-only media, such as a CD, the FolderAndFileList.txt file will be created on the Windows desktop. If you are comfortable making changes to the script, you can customize the output of the created text file. Also, if you have installed a version of Internet Explorer that supports scripting, my scripts will most likely work.
